Veterans, We Salute You!

November 9, 2006

Dear Grampy,

Thank you for fighting for our country. You are the best. I am so, so happy that you are still living. If you weren't living, I would be so very sad. I would not have a grandpa if you were not living. Happy Birthday! I love your hugs, when you take me to get new toys, and call me 'Pilgrim.' I love you, Grampy.

A Boy that Gets Lost

By Carter
Feb. 28th

One summer, a boy goes for a long walk in the woods without a parent. He paced a lunch before he went on his walk. He walks for a long time; his parents think that he left forever but he did not.

He slept with the bears, walked with the wolves, and ate with the squirrels. He slept on leaves, sat on leaves, and ate acorns. When it was blistering hot outside, he was drinking out of the streams. It was a long trip. He walked under the icy waterfalls. When you touch the water, it feels like ice because it is so cold. When he drinks the water, it freezes his teeth.

To be continued...
